Enhanced Pressure Service Available Starting 1 April 2025
On 13 March 2025, Ofgem approved the Interconnection Agreement and the Pressure Service Charges Agreement between BBL Company and National Gas Transmission, which includes the Enhanced Pressure Service (EPS). This pressure service is based on best efforts and will be available throughout 2025, starting from 1 April.
The EPS enables BBL Company to increase the Reverse Flow capacity at IP Bacton from 7,699,193 kWh/h to 10,000,000 kWh/h should the market indicate a demand for such increased capacity. Increased Reverse Flow capacity related to the EPS may be offered on an interruptible day-ahead basis, available when all firm Reverse Flow Day-Ahead capacity is sold.
The applicable reserve price for this increased interruptible Reverse Flow capacity will have an ex-ante discount of 10% compared to the standard daily firm products.
