Charging methodology Variable Costs
For BBL shippers any use of BBL pipeline capacity results in a share of the cost of the electricity and gas used in operations and grid connection costs. Each GTC shipper is required to contribute to their share of these costs based on the allocated capacity.
The formula used to determine the total energy costs is E = A x Pe + B x Pg + F where factor A, B and F are different for reverse and forward flow and provided in the table below.
Pe is the daily NL baseload price via EPEX day ahead auctions
Pg is the Natural Gas Monthly Index - TTF EUR/MWh from ICIS
The commodity charge will be calculated on a daily basis. BBLC also publishes the results for both directions on its website each day. Periodically, BBLC will update the factors A, B and F to ensure they are as costs-reflective as possible.
