Become a BBL shipper

Many of Europe's leading energy players are BBL shippers, becoming a shipper with BBLC could enhance your market operations and expand your business opportunities. To become a shipper, you need to complete the registration steps below.

Accept General Terms & Conditions

By signing the Declaration of Acceptance (DoA) you accept the General Terms and Conditions for Forward and Reverse Flow for BBL Company, including the appendices thereto, and its successors. A signed version of the Application Form Licensing BBL Shipper form can be sent to [email protected].

Provide Balancing Portfolio

BBLC is integrated into the TTF market area as of 1 January 2018, we therefore need your GTS shipper code (Edigas portfolio code) as provided by GTS. Each BBL portfolio (Forward Flow and Reverse Flow) needs to be linked to a GTS shipper balancing portfolio.

Conduct Creditworthiness check

A creditworthiness check will be carried out to determine your company’s creditworthiness and whether additional sureties may be required to cover the exposure resulting from BBL capacity bookings, according to the principles stated in Exhibit B of our General Terms and Conditions (Credit Control Protocol).

Pass Communication test

A communication test will be performed to check if you have the means of handling messages according to the Edig@s protocol. Our Nomination Support team will perform a communication check with your newly created BBL portfolios.

Be reasonable and prudent

A BBL shipper will respect and perform reasonable and prudent regarding the integrity of the BBL facilities and the interests of other BBL shippers.

Registered BBL Shipper

Once completed all steps successfully, you are fully reregistered as BBL shipper and can make use of BBLC’s services.
