Planned maintenance 2026
BBL’s annual planned maintenance period will take place during 15 gas days starting from Wednesday 30 September 2026 at 06:00 CEST.

Conversion to daylight saving time 2025
On gas day 25 October 2025 there will be a switch from summer time to winter time. This means that this gas day will have 25 hours.
Announcement: BBL physical flow switch to Forward Flow 17/10/2025
Currently, the BBL physical flow direction is set to Reverse Flow (GB to NL). BBLC will be switching the physical flow direction to Forward Flow (NL to GB) starting on 17 October 2025 at 06:00 CEST. This process is expected to take one gas day.

Currently, the BBL physical flow direction is set to Forward Flow (NL to GB). BBLC will be switching the physical flow direction to Reverse Flow (GB to NL) starting on 4 October 2025 at 06:00 CEST. This process is expected to be completed by 5 October 2025 at 06:00 CEST.

Currently, the BBL physical flow direction is set to Reverse Flow (GB to NL). BBLC will be switching the physical flow direction to Forward Flow (NL to GB) starting on 1 October 2025 at 06:00 CEST. This process is expected to be completed by 2 October 2025 at 06:00 CEST.
Preannouncement planned maintenance 2026
In accordance with our General Terms and Conditions, effective as of 1 October 2025, BBLC has determined that the period during which the planned maintenance for 2026 will take place is set between 21 September 2026 and 19 October 2026.

Constraint Due to Unexpected Pressure Issues
BBL Company is currently experiencing a constraint in its available technical reverse flow capacity due to lower-than-expected pressure at the Bacton Gas Terminal within Britain’s National Transmission System.
Implications ITC Ruling: No additional charge for Shippers
On 15 July, the Dutch Trade and Industry Appeals Tribunal (College van Beroep voor het bedrijfsleven, CBb) issued a significant ruling, annulling the decision by the Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM) that had required BBL Company (BBLC) to pay an Inter Transmission System Operator Compensation (ITC) to Gasunie Transport Services (GTS).
