Commodity Charge update 2026

From 1 April 2026 onwards, BBL Company will adjust its components which are part of the formula to determine the commodity charge.

BBL Company’s focus is to have its commodity charge as much cost reflective as possible.

The fixed fee (F) will be increased from 0.175 €/MWh to 0.18 €/MWh for both forward flow allocations as well as reverse flow allocations.

Furthermore, there will be some changes applicable to the other factors of the commodity charge formula:

  • The factor A for forward flow allocations will decrease from 0.0021 to 0.0016.
  • The factor A for reverse flow allocations will decrease from 0.0024 to 0.0023.
  • The factor B for forward flow allocations will increase from 0.0006 to 0.0027.
  • The factor B for reverse flow allocations will increase from 0.0000 (zero) to 0.0031.
