Marex joins the BBLC IAM Platform

3 March 2026

BBL Company (BBLC) is pleased to announce that Marex is now available as the third broker connected to the BBLC Implicit Allocation Mechanism (IAM) platform. This development further enhances the options available to BBL shippers, enabling them to book capacity through an even broader range of brokers linked to their commodity transactions.

Following the successful launch of the IAM platform with Cavendish Markets as the first connected broker, and the recent integration of Griffin Markets, the onboarding of Marex marks another important milestone in expanding the IAM platform and strengthening its role within the European gas market.

Strengthening market access and flexibility

The addition of Marex aligns with our strategy to:

  • keep booking options within IAM streamlined and accessible,
  • offer shippers greater flexibility when linking capacity and commodity transactions,
  • further support the functioning of the European gas market through transparent and efficient allocation mechanisms.

With Marex joining the platform, shippers gain an additional high quality broker option to support their implicit allocation bookings. In the coming period, BBL Company will expand the platform with Tullet Prebon.

What shippers need to do

BBL shippers who wish to purchase transmission capacity via IAM must:

  1. Accept the BBL Company General Terms & Conditions.
  2. Contact the broker of their choice — including Marex.
  3. Follow the steps outlined in the IAM authorization guide to authorize a broker to book BBL capacity products on PRISMA via Implicit Allocations on their behalf.

Please note: This authorization applies only to implicit allocation bookings and does not apply to other PRISMA functionalities such as auctions or secondary market trading.

Shippers already active on the IAM platform only need to authorize Marex to book capacity on their behalf. A direct link for this authorization can be found on the website of PRISMA.
