BBL’s annual planned maintenance period will take place during 3 gas days starting from Tuesday 13 September 2022 at 06:00 CEST.
Activities will be resumed on Friday 16 September 2022 at 06:00 CEST.
During this maintenance period there are no gas flows possible.

BBL’s annual planned maintenance period will take place during 4 gas days starting from Monday 8 September 2025 at 06:00 CEST.
Constraint Due to Unexpected Pressure Issues
BBL Company is currently experiencing a constraint in its available technical reverse flow capacity due to lower-than-expected pressure at the Bacton Gas Terminal within Britain’s National Transmission System.
Implications ITC Ruling: No additional charge for Shippers
On 15 July, the Dutch Trade and Industry Appeals Tribunal (College van Beroep voor het bedrijfsleven, CBb) issued a significant ruling, annulling the decision by the Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM) that had required BBL Company (BBLC) to pay an Inter Transmission System Operator Compensation (ITC) to Gasunie Transport Services (GTS).
Dutch Court Annuls ACM Decision on Inter-TSO Compensation for BBL Company
On 15 July 2025, the Dutch Trade and Industry Appeals Tribunal (CBb) concluded that the Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM) lacked the authority to introduce and impose an Inter-Transmission System Operator TSO). Compensation (ITC) and annulled its decision. This judgment is final and not subject to further appeal.
Market Demand Assessment for Incremental Capacity 2025
In accordance with the incremental capacity process as described by NC CAM (Regulation 2017/459), interested parties are invited to submit non-binding demand indications for capacity above the current technical capacity of the BBL interconnector, using BBLC’s request form as published below. Requests can be submitted during a window period of 6 weeks, starting from the date of this publication.
Announcement: BBLC tariffs for Gas Year 2025 and beyond
BBLC has published its tariffs and starting multipliers for the upcoming Gas Year 2025 and beyond, which apply to Forward Flow (NL to GB) and Reverse Flow (GB to NL) capacity products offered via PRISMA and Implicit Allocations. These tariffs are effective from the 7th of July 2025 09:00 CEST onwards. Until this date, BBLC’s Gas Year 2024 tariffs are applicable.
BBL Company increases its available Implicit Allocation Reverse Flow Capacity for Summer 2026
BBL Company is pleased to announce an increase in its Implicit Allocation Reverse Flow capacity (GB to NL) for the 2026 summer period. From April through September 2026, up to 90% of the available reverse flow capacity will be offered to the market.
Adjusted Office Hours for Ascension Day and Whit Monday
Please be informed that BBL Company offices will observe adjusted hours due to upcoming public holidays: Thursday, 29 May – Offices will be closed in observance of Ascension Day. Friday, 30 May – Offices will operate with limited availability. Monday, 9 June – Offices will be closed in observance of Whit Monday.

Introduction of a new booking incentive
BBL Company (BBLC) is pleased to announce that it will introduce a new booking incentive to encourage more efficient use of its available products. This booking incentive consists of a discount on the transport tariff for a specific combination of booked standard capacity products.
Tariff reduction Reverse Flow (GB > NL) products
Effective from gas day 17 April 2025, 06:00 CEST, BBLC will be implementing a reduction in all tariffs for Reverse Flow products for the remaining periods of gas year 2024. This includes quarterly, monthly, daily, and within-day products.
